About Me

It all goes together…

I have to admit, I have an addiction to education.

My student career includes a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s in Wellness Management, and a doctorate in Health Education. All of my studies have woven together in the theme of wellness and yoga.

Most of my yoga training has been with the American VIniyoga Institute. I completed the 500-hour yoga teacher training in July 2005 and the 500-hour AVI Yoga Therapist training in October 2009.  The perspectives of this lineage taught me to focus on the ever changing needs of the practitioner including physical, mental, and emotional components.

My other certifications include National Board Certified Health/Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) trained through Wellcoaches Inc., certified personal trainer with ACSM, and licensed massage therapist for the state of IN.

My belief is that the work I do is directed to help others feel better.  I am a life-long learner and I continue to explore ideas and therapies that focus on ways to reduce suffering and increase our capacity for joy.

“The seed of suffering in you may be strong, but don't wait until you have no more suffering before allowing yourself to be happy.”
