My training has largely been in the style of Viniyoga.  Viniyoga (prefixes viand ni plus yoga) is an ancient Sanskrit term that implies differentiation, adaptation, and appropriate application.  This school of yoga comes from a therapeutic perspective, using the yogic tools of asana, pranayama, and meditation to best meet the current needs of the practitioner.  This style of yoga is especially useful in designing programs for specific populations.
